This samuha is made for giving awareness of Banjara culture among the Banjara people in the Hospet taluk, Bellary Dist, Karnataka.

Minutes of Meeting

“Dated: 21.12.2008, Sunday, 10.30 AM at Chakravan Park, T.B. DAM, HOSPET, BELLARY DISTRICT, KARNATAKA”

The first HOSPET TALUK BANJARA NAUKARARA SAMUHA KUTA meeting was held on 21st December 2008 at 10.30 am at Chakravana Park, under the leadership of Mr. LAXMAN L.D. DMT.E, B.COM, LLB, (B.TECH), Engineer, Kalyani Steels Ltd, on behalf of Banjara community. and this function was run under the guidance of Hon’ble Chairpersons Sri GOPI NAIK. M.A, B.Ed, (M.Ed), Head Master, Gaddikeri School, H.B.HALLI and Sri HEMLA NAIK. D.A.E, Engineer, Kalyani Steels Ltd.
 
The main objective of the meeting was to celebrate a grand get together of Banjara community from all Hospet taluk Banjara official employees towards the spreading, knowing and identification of BANJARA culture, traditions, history, and awareness of community among the all Banjara employees in the Hospet taluk as well as in the country.

This meeting was arranged, established, and ran smoothly under the leadership of following dignitries  Mr. LAXMAN L.D. DMT.E, B.COM, LLB, (B.TECH), Engineer, Kalyani Steels Ltd, Mr. CHANDRA SHEKHAR NAIK, I.T.I, Senior Technician, Kalyani Steels Limited. Mr. Shankar I. Naik B.Sc, B.Ed, (M.Sc), Junior Engineer, Kalyani Steels Ltd was also worked hard to assemble all Banjara Goaars to gear up and make this function success.

This meeting was started at 11.30 am and finished around 1.30 am and breakfast also arranged at the end of the meeting. Many Goaar Banjaras have given their speech about this Banjara Samuha and accepted all the objectives of Banjara samuha rendered by Mr. LAXMAN L.D and who is the founder of this Hospet Taluk Banjara Samuha Kuta.

 The following Goaar Banjara dignitries of Hospet taluk were present in the said meeting and participated with their views, ideas, suggestions. All the 42 members were involved in this meeting and drawn many improvements on samuha objectives.

 The meeting was started by Sri Gopi Naik, Teacher, with his sweet words on this Samuha meeting.  He said that this type of meeting in these days would be possible by such interesting and dedicated person Mr. Laxman L.D. and explained few memorable moments which he was experienced in his life prior to this type of community meeting. He advised to all dignitries to involve in such meeting and do the well to the backward category students and farmers in the rural area.  He urged to uplift the poor students in rural thandas by giving them in the ways of scholarships, presentations, books, cloths. He informed all the dignitries that, in future he is going to start a free “NOVODYA COACHING TO POOR STUDENTS.” He again stressed on Goaar Banjaras to utilize the samuha. He urged that meeting must be kept twice in the month. He informed to dignitries that this type of samuha will help to all Goaar Banjaras in many ways like relationship, friends, job, education, business, marriage, guidance, inspiration, motivation among the community etc.

 Then, Mr. Hemla Naik, Engineer was also spoken few words on this samuha and he informed to utilize this type of community samuha in life towards the development and improvement. He urged to aid the backward people among our community.

 Mr. Devendra, Teacher, was also stressed upon the importance of samuha towards the community and education.

 Entire team had given their speeches on this meeting about Hospet Taluk Banjara Naukarara Samuha Kuta and all are happy with samuha objectives.

 Finally, Mr. Laxman L.D., Engineer has said the story behind this Samuha and how this type of idea comes in his mind. He express the objectives of this samuha in his views and he urged that Mr. Narayana Naik Officer, Frontline Transport, Hospet had introduced 3 members in spot in samuha meeting and wished to N. Naik for his support. Mr.Laxman L.D had stressed mainly on unity, equality, relation and marriages in the entire community. He advised to all dignitries of Goaar Banjara to celebrate a grand get-together function in next year.

 The following were the conclusions given by this meeting on samuha objectives and these are all main objectives of this Hospet Taluk Banjara Naukarara Samuha Kuta. Samuha will perform the function accordingly.

MAIN OBJECTIVES:

(1) Awards to the TOPPER students class wise in the all thandas.
(2) Honoring  to the TEACHERS in the schools of thandas.
(3) Honoring to the BEST FARMERS in the thandas.
(4) Honoring to the Best FEMALES in the thandas.
(5) Free NOVODYA COACHING for poor students by Sri Gopi Naik, Teacher.
Alongwith the main objectives, the samuha members took the following objectives to be taken for development of Banjara community.

1. Meeting should be done once in a fortnight.

2. Every member must introduce 10 Goaar Banjara members in next meeting and maintain the punctuality in the meeting.

3. Joint account to be opened in the name of samuha.

4. Collected gifts in the form of money from members to be kept in bank and to be recorded in the books of account.

5. A get-together function of Goaar Banjaras shall be organized in the month of May or June 2009-10.

6. In future, Banjara community office shall be opened in the name of Samuha.

7. Few documents get approved by Samuha members presented by Mr. Laxman L.D. for collection of Goaar Banjara data for reference.

8. Samuha taking the developments in Hospet Taluk Banjara, and then, other Taluk Banjara Goaars step by step.

9. All samuha members would asking for a BANJARA KESARI weekly newspaper, which is publishing from Davangere.

OBJECTIVES OF SAMUHA

• To give an importance on education in the Hospet taluk Thanda Banjara Goaars and uplifting of poor and backward students in the thanda schools by inspiring and motivating to the students in the ways of best student award, gifts, presentation, books, cloths and coaching in front of teacher and thanda panchayat every year.

• To give suggestion, inspiration, motivation, coaching, information about education, job, awareness on society, education, community and developments towards country.

• To identify the good, efficient farmer in the thanda and award to him as a best farmer in thanda to motivate the other Goaar Banjara in the community to get involve in the respective work with success.

• To identify the best teacher in thanda schools and present to them with a gift for rendering his service for the poor and educationally backward students.

• To identify the Goaar Banjara students in the Hospet taluk and to give coaching, awareness among them towards the community and as well as country towards the developments.

The above conclusions were made in the Hospet taluk Banjara Naukarara Samuha Kuta meeting held on 21.12.2008 at 10.30 AM  at Chakravan Park, T.B. DAM, HOSPET. 

2nd meeting had held on same place on 04.01.2009 and made many improvements towards the development.
 
3rd meeting also will be held on 25.01.2009 at 11.00 AM at Chakravan Park, T.B. DAM, HOSPET Taluk, BELLARY Distt., KARNATAKA State.
