Dear Banjara/Lambada Brothers,

The employees of BANJARAS/ LAMBADAS of Khammam and Warangal Districts in Andhra Pradesh have come up with an innovative idea of motivating the people from the community and create awareness among the people.

Being summer, teachers, students, farmer community and small employees are free from works and regular activities. What better time could one find to have such a gathering taking place for the welfare of all?

CHILDREN are the future of any community. This would motivate the children to come up in Life through education, commitment and hard work.
MOTHERS are the foundation of families. Educate a woman, the entire family gets educated. We all have reached the pinnacles of success, due to earnest effort and contribution of mothers. Our mothers have taken lot of pain to support and educate us. The role of mothers is invaluable. Hence the employees / intellectuals want to reach each and every MOTHER and CHILD in the community to motivate them and to enlighten to all mothers how their role can change a child's life and the future generations to come.

As part of this effort, they are organizing a GREAT GATHERING OF BANJARAS/ LAMBADAS on 18th May, 2008 at Prakasham Stadium in KOTHAGUDEM, Khammam District. Our people fromWARANGAL and KHAMMAM Districts as well as parts of NALGONDA District are expected to participate in large numbers. The entire community people and children/ students are expected to participate in the function. It is expected that about one lakh people will participate in the function.

ONE LAKH BANJARAS/ LAMBADAS for the function will be a unique achievement in the History of Banjaras/ Lambadas of Andhra Pradesh.

On this occasion, the organizers are planning to felicitate Dr. D T NAIK, IPS, Addl. DGP (Retd.) who has rendered stupendous service for three decades for the welfare of Lambadas.

All the Civil Servants and State Service Bureaucrats of Lambada community of Andhra Pradesh are extending their strong support for organizing this unique event for the motivation and up-liftment of Lambadas.

This function is organized with the support of the Lambada Leaders, irrespective of their political affiliations. The Lambada employees are involving in thousands and contributing for the organizing work. The Sarpanches/ MPTCs/ ZPTCs/ MPPs/ Youth Leaders etc and all the Lambada organizations have joined hands to mobilize and bring each and every CHILD and MOTHER of Lambada community to the function. Of course, the heads of families will also attend the function.

The focus of the meeting would be to create enlightment for educating the children and bring them in the mainstream of the society. The Lambadas should venture and come up in all the spheres of jobs and public life. They should contribute in all the activities of development of the State/ Nation. The slogan of the function is that every family should have a Graduate/ Post Graduate in short to medium term, who will in turn contribute for educating and developing all
other family members.

The function is also expected to bring unity among Banjaras/ Lambadas. This will definitely help the community to fight for their rights in the future time to come and strive for the social elevation they deserve in the social fabric of A.P.

All of you are requested to give wide publicity among the people of Banjaras/ Lambadas and work for their unity. You are also requested to give support for the success of the function. Let us help those who are helping for the welfare of Banjaras.

"Every youth of India has the right to get education in order to become a self-sufficient and self-dependent member of the society and thus being a good citizen may serve his country. But the 'Ghost of dearness' has snatched all such opportunities from the hands of youth not only in India alone, but also all over the world. Higher Education has become beyond reach of the middle-class. The phantom of illiteracy is standing before the masses with open mouth ready to gulp it down. My heart bleeds. I am very much disturbed to see such things in my native country......
